FAQ

The MPA is made up of parent volunteers, just like you.  With sufficient parental assistance we can ensure the music program is a success, with minimal time commitments from our volunteers.

Be sure to register here to receive updates.   All contact information will be deleted at the end of each calendar year.  You will need to re-register at the beginning of each new school year.

The MPA meets once a month throughout the school year.  Typically the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the Choir Room.  With current Covid-19 restrictions in place, our meetings will take place virtually via google meet.  The schedule is available here.

Absolutely!   We encourage all parents to participate in our monthly meetings.   We welcome your ideas and perspectives on how we can make the music program the best it can be.

The JCS Music Parents Association collaborates with our music program teachers to plan for how we can best support our teachers and students each year.  Fundraising plays an important role in providing an opportunity for students to earn travel credits to offset the cost of trips and camps which are not covered by the music program fees.  Proceeds from fundraising also contribute to our Enrichment and Subsidy Fund which provides enrichment opportunities for all students in the music program and subsidizes the overall cost for attending festivals and camps.
