Ms. Victoria Scott – Band Director viscott@cbe.ab.ca
I have been a band geek for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a small rural community just south of Calgary and was involved in all aspects of everything band during my own high school experience. I attended the University of Calgary where I earned a Bachelor of Music degree and then continued my schooling there to earn a Bachelor of Education degree specializing in secondary music education. I started my career in a grade 5-12 school in Brooks, Alberta, and from there, I moved to Woodman School where I had the privilege of working with music students in grades 5 through 9 for a number of years. It was my pleasure to be a part of the team that opened JCS in 2018, and I wouldn’t trade the experience for the world. I am so thankful for all of the students I have gotten to know and for the opportunity to build our band program from the ground up with their input and ideas. We have a very exciting year ahead of us filled with many learning opportunities for our music students. Bring it on!

She is looking forward to continuing to build a strong and vibrant music program at JCS and thoroughly loves making music with JCS students!
